Installation of the ProTxT Product Manually

You must first determine the amount of ounces to be put in the tire:

  • Using a measuring tape, measure the top of the tire to the bottom of the tire.
  • Then measure the width from one side of the tread to the other side of the tread.
  • Once the height and the width have been determined, multiply the 2, and multiply it by either: 0.66 for ProTxT (vehicles that go over 45MPH) or .18 for ProTxT (vehicles that go under 45MPH)

To install the product, we suggest that you lift the equipment with a jack (so when you deflate the tire, the weight of the vehicle will not cause the tire to come off the rim). Once this is done, you will need to remove the core from the valve stem and deflate the tire. With the manual pump, you will install the recommended dosage (H x W x either 0.66 or .18). You will then install the cores back into the valve stem and inflate the tire to is recommended psi. You may also refer to our video on how to manually install the product by going to our website: www.XTTLIFE.com, and clicking on the video tab.

Product Details
The ProTxT Tire Reparative™ is a preventative product designed to reduce the risk of punctures, blowouts, and uneven wear on tires. It can be applied before a tire is mounted on a vehicle or machinery or through the valve stem of a deflated tire. The ProTxT Tire Reparative™ helps to maintain correct air pressure, which helps with the integrity of the side wall, allowing recapping tire suppliers to re-cap the tire up to three times. Additionally, it can be used as a dynamic balancer for heavy-duty tires, eliminating the need for an Equal Flex Bag.

Through centrifugal force, Pro TXT forms a protective layer over the entire interior of the tread.

Pro TXT Tire Reparative™ is a concentrate of fibers that disperse in the ballast solution area injected inside the tire. When a puncture occurs, the fibers quickly cross-hatch the puncture from the inside

Goodyear tests have shown that 15% under-inflation results in about an 8% drop in expected tread mileage and a 2.5% decrease in MPG.

No air loss minimizes sidewall flexing, maintaining the integrity of the casing. Pro TXT contains corrosion inhibitors that protect any type of metal found in tires, rims, or value stems.

Tire Waste Reduction

Through innovative compounds and predictive analytics, we extend tire life, reducing waste and promoting sustainable usage. Recap tires are reused tires that have new tread glued to the sidewall of an old tire, then resold for 60%-80% less than new tires. Unfortunately, many of these tires end up causing accidents and fatalities due to blowouts, which happen quite often and are very scary.

There are tire casings up and down the side walls of I-95 and 495 caused by these blowouts. During extreme temperatures, especially in the hot months, tires typically inflate, which causes the tire to blow out, and this happening at 50 MPH can be deadly.

It will help eliminate the process of plugging a tire. Reduction in downtime costs simply by treating this product as a preventative for tires. Last year alone, 7,800 accidents occurred due to a blowout, and 5% of those were fatal!

XTT LIFE™ Tire Reparative™ can help to resolve the issue of tire punctures, which can cause damage and reduce the lifespan of a tire. It can also help with the issue of tire wear, which can occur due to overinflation, under-inflation, or improper alignment. The Tire Reparative™ can help to extend the life of a tire and improve its performance. Additionally, it can help to reduce the amount of time and money spent on tire repairs, as it can fix small issues quickly and easily. Lastly, it helps with balancing heavy-duty tires.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does ProTxT Tire Reparative™ work for the life of the tire?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ has the unique ability to last for the life of the tire due to the high-quality components used. It will not separate or deteriorate throughout the tire's lifespan. The plugs made by ProTxT Tire Reparative™ consist of ceramic fibers (glass fibers), ensuring longevity. Even after covering substantial distances, such as 250,000 miles, ProTxT Tire Reparative™ maintains its original effectiveness.
How does ProTxT Tire Reparative™ help prevent tire blowouts?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ plays a crucial role in preventing tire blowouts, with punctures being the primary cause. When a driver encounters a puncturing object, air loss occurs, leading to tire heating and potential explosion.ProTxT Tire Reparative™prevents air loss, thereby averting blowouts.
Can ProTxT Tire Reparative™ and balancing powders be mixed?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ eliminates the need for balancing powders. It performs the same functions, such as eliminating vibrations caused by unbalanced or out-of-round tires, preventing flats, and maintaining air pressures. However, ProTxT Tire Reparative™ cannot be mixed with balancing powders.
What is the largest puncture that ProTxT Tire Reparative™ will repair?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ is guaranteed to repair punctures up to ¼” in diameter, with larger punctures often being repaired effectively. This capability is more pronounced in slower-moving vehicles.
What about recapping?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ can be removed from the used tire casing by washing with water, using a vacuum, or letting the product evaporate after tire dismounting. Importantly, it does not degrade the casing and, in fact, helps maintain casing integrity, allowing for more recaps. Existing punctures in the casings are visible due to the white color of the ceramic plug.
How does ProTxT Tire Reparative™ compare to products like “Fix-a-Flat”?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ represents a new and improved approach over aerosol flat repairs like "Fix-a-Flat." While aerosol repairs offer temporary solutions, ProTxT Tire Reparative™ prevents flats from occurring, providing a permanent repair with no future repairs needed. Additionally, it is non-explosive, non-flammable, non-combustible, and contains no adhesives that might bond the rim to the tire.
How do you break down a tire containing ProTxT Tire Reparative™?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ does not affect breaking down the tire in any way. Being water-based and containing no glue or adhesives, it does not bond to the rubber or the rim. It is non-explosive, non-flammable, and non-combustible.
How do rims benefit from ProTxT Tire Reparative™?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ contains corrosion inhibitors that protect rims from moisture-related corrosion over time. This protection extends to various metals inside the tire or rim, including brass, copper, aluminum, iron, steel, chrome, and magnesium alloy.
If installing ProTxT Tire Reparative™ in a tire not yet in service, must it be driven immediately?
No. If installed into tires not entering immediate service, ProTxT Tire Reparative™ will remain in its original consistency but will become effective only when the vehicle is driven.
How many punctures can be repaired after ProTxT Tire Reparative™ is installed?
Using the recommended dosage, tires are protected from multiple punctures for the life of the tire. Testing on standard truck tires showed a 100% success rate with over 60 punctures.
Does load weight affect ProTxT Tire Reparative™ performance or dosage requirements?
No, ProTxT Tire Reparative™ performs consistently regardless of load weight. The dosage remains the same, irrespective of load weight.
How can we be sure that our tire recycling company will accept tires with ProTxT Tire Reparative™?
This product is water-soluble and can be easily washed out before recycling. We have received confirmation from multiple disposal and recycling companies. However, agreements may vary, and we recommend confirming with your recycling company on a case-by-case basis.
Will putting ProTxT Tire Reparative™ in tires void the tire warranty?
No, we have a letter from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company confirming that the use of our product will not harm the tire in any way.
Will XTT Life back ProTxT Tire Reparative™ with a warranty/liability insurance?
Yes, ProTxT Tire Reparative™+ is backed by a manufacturer's warranty, and the agreement details are available.
Would it be a problem for us to resell these tires when we are done with them?
No, this product does NOT undergo a chemical reaction with tires. It does nothing to the rubber and easily washes out, making it suitable for resale.
Does this product have a "shelf life"?
ProTxT Tire Reparative™ has an unlimited shelf life in an unopened container. In a tire, it will last for years.
How many objects can you have in your tire before it becomes unsafe?
Studies have shown tires riding with over 60 punctures with no issues. As long as the punctures are within the product's repair capability, it is safe to run the tire with multiple punctures. Clients had over 300 repaired punctures. Using reparative in tires is safer than not using reparative.
Will this product work with air pressure sensors?
Yes, our product does not fly around in the tire; it stays coated, while other products may drip into the sensor.
Is it safe to ride on a tire that has a gash in the tread with this product in it?
It is not safe to ride on any tire that has a gash in it. Often, when a slash occurs in a tire containing the reparative, the air loss will be slower and more controlled than in a tire without the reparative.
Is this product patented?
This product has never been patented. This is a secret formula, and the process is not patented.
How was this product tested: under what conditions, what kind of tires, and was it actual on-road testing or simulated?
Testing was conducted in research labs and on the road. In labs, machines simulated tire spinning and puncturing with a hydrologic piercing tool. The majority of testing was on the road. The best way to test the product is by putting it in several vehicles and observing the results over time. Independent test reports contain detailed information.
